At SkinCare Solutions a licensed esthetician will take the time to thoroughly assess your skin and determine what basic type of acne you have.  This is an important first step because each type of acne requires different products and different acne treatments.  We have learned that a one-size-fits-all approach won't work in the long run.  This is why if you have tried things like ProActive it may have worked for a while and then eventually stopped being effective.  We custom tailor a program for your specific type of acne. We will also share lifestyle considerations that could be having an impact on your skin.

Acne Treatment
Twice per month gets your clear!

Products alone will not get you clear.  The management of your acne is a two fold process.  The right blend of products will begin the healing process and help prevent future acne lesions.  The acne treatment will keep your skin in optimal condition so the products can be effective.  The ingredients that make acne products work tend to be harsh on the skin.  If the skin becomes dry and irritated your products will become less effective over time and could actually cause the skin to breakout.  

An acne treatment consists of cleansing, exfoliation, extraction of existing acne lesions, hydration and protection.  You will experience powerful results when you follow our rule of one acne treatment every 2 weeks for the first 3 months.  Most of our clients are clear within 90 days and only require maintenance visits periodically to keep their skin healthy.

Your esthetician will also assess your homecare routine at each visit and adjust your products if necessary. The key to getting clear is to push the skin toward clarity while avoiding dry, irritated, uncomfortable skin.
